Two 'build' brickwork trainees have secured jobs with Bermar Building Company as part of Kirklees Council's Thornton Lodge and Lockwood Renaissance project.
The previously unemployed trainees have just gained distinctions in their Level 1 bricklaying qualification and will be following a Level 2 course at 'build's Lockwood Academy on day-release from their new employer.
Bermar Building Company's Managing Director, Rob Moon, said he was delighted to be a partner in the Renaissance project which will see facelifts to houses on Mount Street and Upper Mount Street and hopefully other properties in the area.
'build' is a partner in the Thornton Lodge and Lockwood Renaissance Programme - further information can be obtained from Emma Pyne (Housing Regeneration Officer) on 01484 416675
